Terms of Use

These terms of use apply to the use of nexcogen. nexcogen is currently a non-commercial hobby project in active development.

This English text is a convenience translation. The legally binding version is the German version.

1. Operator and project status

The operator is Leif Söffge. nexcogen is currently provided free of charge. No goods, subscriptions, paid digital content, or other services for a fee are offered. Free use may be limited by quotas, credits, or technical usage limits. There is no entitlement to permanent availability, particular features, production operation, storage of content, or recovery of data.

2. Registration

A user account is required to use the protected features. Accurate information must be provided when registering. Access credentials are to be treated as confidential and must not be passed on to third parties. The account can be deleted via the profile settings.

3. Content creation

nexcogen produces blog drafts based on the topics and parameters entered by the user. Generation runs on AI infrastructure controlled by the operator. The results are automatically generated drafts and must be reviewed independently before any use or publication.

Users must not enter sensitive personal data, confidential information belonging to third parties, unlawful content, or content to which they do not hold sufficient rights. Users are themselves responsible for ensuring that their input and any later use or publication of the generated content is lawful.

4. Prohibited use

The following are prohibited in particular:

• unlawful, discriminatory, insulting, pornographic, or violence-glorifying content,
• infringement of copyright, trademark, personality, or data protection rights of third parties,
• entering sensitive personal data or confidential information belonging to third parties without sufficient authorisation,
• spam, automated bulk queries, scraping, or circumvention of technical protection measures,
• attempts to disrupt, read out, or misuse the application, servers, databases, or the AI system.

5. Suspension and deletion

In the event of misuse, security risks, legal violations, or breaches of these terms of use, access may be restricted, suspended, or deleted. As this is a non-commercial hobby project, the service may also be changed, paused, or discontinued at any time.

6. Liability

Use is free of charge and at your own risk. No warranty is given for automatically generated content as to accuracy, completeness, freedom from third-party rights, lawfulness, availability, currency, or fitness for a particular purpose. Statutory liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, as well as under mandatory law, remains unaffected.

7. Changes

These terms of use may be adjusted if the project, the legal situation, or technical processes change. Material changes will be announced on the website or, where necessary, by email.

8. Final provisions

German law applies, unless mandatory consumer protection provisions preclude this. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
